Here we have a couple of really different "bands/artist", that I've been listening to a lot the past weeks.

Budapest - George Ezra, one of my favorite artist at the moment. His voice is just amazing, and I get that Elvis vibe from it (I love elvis, so.). and also take a listen to this: Cassy O - George Ezra Bastimental!!! .. okay, Rudimental and Bastille but.. If you didn't watch brit awards this week, you probably haven't seen this.. and if thats how it is.. WATCH!!! ah, amazing! and both are coming to finland (and I'm going to the festival Bastille is playing.. but I want to see Bastimental.. or at least rudimental too.. heh) Animal Keeper - George Barnett 
saw George barnett on live stream this week, when we were about to see Lewis Watson.. and this dude is super talented, and if you like muse i'm pretty sure you are gonna enjoy these songs! Don't tell me - George Barnett (this one is super muse -style.. in a good way!! not in the way "he stole it/can't write his own.." He's amazing.) Numb it - HoneyHoney 
we saw honeyhoney in Denmark when we saw Jake Bugg, and I had never heard about them before that. They are really good! and they where amazing live also!  Scream (Funk my life up) - Paolo Nutini He has released a new single after what feels like 100 years and it's SO GOOD! I love Paolo Nutinis music and i'm extremely excited for his new album!!!!! And now a cover of Wannabe - Spice girls The amazing Orla Gartland... take a look! she's super cool. and another cover of Pharrell williams - Happy this time it's Conor Maynard, and this video just make me happy! (and that boy can sing!!) Battles - Hudson Taylor (this one is gooooooOoood!) Set sail - The boat song you need to go look at their youtube channel and look at their videos! They've been touring the world, the videos are "The world tour" - series and they've also done a USA roadtrip! Money on my mind - Sam Smith, his voice is just!!!!! Rather Be - Clean Bandit, the question is who hasn't listened to this yet? I love her voice!

Next videos I found through Swedish Idol, that started two weeks ago. Where this dude came and played one of his own songs and I was like... seriously?! he is a mix of Ben Howard (sound/music style) and Lewis Watson (looks). So I googled a little bit and found his band. They make music in both swedish and english, I do prefer de english.. but the swedish songs are really good too. And also I think you need to youtube Jens Hult - Whisper and listen to it! Clouds - PartFunk (But take a look and listen to this live version, this is the cutest video ever.. haha and you hear his amazing voice so much better in live versions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7y597gsiBM) Someone New - PartFunk Ett Sprit Språngande Liv - PartFunk (one of the swedish songs, and this one is really good. But I still want music in english, haha.)

Second music post today, two bands. The 1975 & Muse, two of my favourite bands atm. The 1975 - Chocolate, loveeeee it!!! want to see them live sooo bad!!  The 1975 - Sex, another on with them.. The 1975 - The City, and a third with them..

- Went to their concert last saturday and it was a-m-a-z-i-n-g, gonna write another post about that soon. Muse - Madness, from their latest album 'The 2nd Law', I love this song. - i'm really obsessed with muse after the concert.. they were so amazing live so I need to listen to them everyday and dream myself back to the concert. As I've said before this world is full of good music that needs to be listened too, so lets not waste more time on reading this and start listening.   Rizzle Kicks - Lost Generation, is taken from the new album 'Roaring 20s' .. which i'm extremely excited about, love RK.

Max Milner ft. Reeps One - The Mash Up. I noticed that I hadn't uploaded this and that can't happen 'cause this is the best mash up in this world and Max Milner is amazing, amazing, amazing! and check out Reeps One - wicked beatboxing.  Nina Nesbitt - Way In The World from her new EP 'Way in the World'. Ed Sheeran - Wild Mountain Thyme (cover). Ed's cover of WMT, which is a scottish folksong. Everything sounds perfect when Ed sing and plays..
Etham Basden - Leaving the lights on. I love this song, it's so beautiful.. I get all emotional when i listen to this.
- I listened to this when I was visiting my friends a couple of weeks ago.. and when I took the bus home I listened to this song on repeat.. 2 1/2 hour, in the dark alone in a bus - It was pretty amazing. 
Jasmine Thompson - Let Her Go (Cover). A cover of passengers song 'Let Her Ago', this one is amazing... her voice is incredible beautiful and she is only 12 years old!!!!

Ben Howard at Hammersmith Apollo 13 june 2013

We saw Ben Howard, we did get tickets... lucky!! 

it was sold out both days, 12 & 13.. but we got tickets.

Anyway, haha. 

As I wrote on the "music post" the opening act was John Smith, who was and is amazing. 

(I don't really have pictures from the show, only photos taken with my iPhone.)

Well, when Ben played and I couldn't do anything.. He put a spell on me or something, haha. He was more than perfect, amazing... almost too good to be true. 

I can't really write anything normal, im kind of in love after that concert. 

in the morning we went to hammersmith to look up where apollo was and pick up our tickets. 

if you could fall in love like this, I would have done it a thousand times for you.

Matt Corby- Brother... one of the best songs I've ever heard. And the boy himself is extremely handsome if I may say. Ben Howard - Old Pine (he was amazing, we went to his concert in London.. im in love.) John Smith - Salty and sweet. Hadn't heard him before the Ben concert, but he was the opening act. He was extremely good and such a funny lad and now i'm obsessed. Lewis Watson - Close. And the amazing lewis with a song form his new ep and the video is amazing... so harry potterish. Bernhoft - C'mon Talk. Wow, I say.. at last i found something like this.. or I didn't find it this time. My dear friend Henna told me about him 'cause she thought that I would like him, and man did I like? I love!

A little music update, 'cause I'm lazy.. but music is always a good thing.. right? Max Milner's EP is out now and here is the music video to one of the songs. LooOooOooooove it. Don Johnson Big Band - Rip it up (love it! hope they play this one at the world village festival this weekend.) Ewert and The Two Dragons - "Good Man Down" (seriously love EATTD and this song is amazing.) "James Franco" is funny & I like "No Interruption".

Tears On Tape

Need to share HIM:s new music video to their new song Tears On Tape, which is from their upcoming album that's also called Tears On Tape.. and the release is on friday 26/4!!!!!
I can't wait, i'm so excited about the album!

We hade 2 concerts called "Spectacular motown circus", where we dressed up like they did in the 60's. The songs where Motown songs from the 60's also. 

My first experience of singing with a band, scary as ****, but a good experience.

This time I thought that It would be smarter to put all my new obsessions in the same post, so here we go. 

Ed Sheeran & Passenger - No Diggity Vs. Thrift Shop (Mashup) - Love this so much, probably the best cover in this world. (and me and Henna, maybe singing this at our concert..) Bastille - Pompeii - this is my newest obsession, I love this. (the video is kind of scary tho, haha) Gabrielle Aplin - Panic Cord - Love the song, love the video.. love everything about this video. Max Milner - We're Free - love, love, love, love.

Into The Wild

So, it's sunday and I haven't done any post's in a while.

Busy life right now, but I just wanted to drop by and give something new to listen to - that I was supposed to post after the last post. I remember writing, tomorrow or so. Well this is tomorrow, haha.

I have a concert/show today, so I'm going there soon.
But i'm kind of sick, so I hope I can sing.

So, valentine's day is over.

My day was long, but fun. School from 12-21, had a great time writing music & singing harmonies. Every day should be this effective, love'd it!

I need to share some new amazing music with you guys again, and I'll upload a couple of other new songs tomorrow or so.

I'm probably gonna post a lot of music videos because music is 90% of my life and there is so much good music out there that I want everyone to know about.

So, today i'm going to post 3 videos of Ben Howard. He is pretty amazing, almost falling in love with him, haha.

Here we have Only Love by Ben Howard, which is amazing.
The guitar playing, the song, the man.. everything is perfect. 
(I wanted to learn it on guitar, but the tuning on the guitar is so different so I felt pretty lazy when I noticed that.. but someday I'll learn it because it's amazing.)

My second favorite song of his, it's beautiful.

And last but not least a cover of Call me maybe.. this one is perfection. I love everything about this cover & video. Love when he laughs when he sings and the drummer who plays bas is cool and the girl and yeah... no words.

Leave you behind

This is my original song "Leave you behind". The "sound" in the first version of this song is completely different to this. But one day me and my friend Stina started recording, we did use my little home studio and improvised a lot of stuff and this is what it ended up sounding like. And the video is made by Stina.

I haven't even been there, but I know I want to.

So, this is my new blog.

I'm Amanda and i'm currently living in Helsinki, Finland where I moved August 2012.

Before that I lived 20 years in Sweden, which means that I've lived there until I moved here. 

So at the moment i'm studying singing and chasing my dream of being able to live on my music. I'm writing music, singing, playing guitar, piano, listening to others play music,  making music with others and that kind of stuff. All things I love. 

And I also have a dream of living in London, so funny 'cause I haven't even been there. But i've decided a couple of weeks ago that this summer i'm going there! 

Maybe I should start with visiting it, even though i'm pretty sure I'll like it... pretty much sure. 

I alson decided that i'm going to write everything in english in this blog, so I don't need to decide if I should write in Swedish or Finnish. And of course so I can practice on my english.

There's a lot to say, but i'm not gonna write my life story.
